Ozempic is the brand name of the medication Semaglutide, which also the active ingredient in this drug. It belongs to a class of drugs called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists. GLP-1 agonists work by mimicking and copying the natural work of hormones called incretins. Incretins are a group of hormones that control the functions of the pancreas. GLP-1 agonists act on the pancreas by increasing insuling production and reducing glucagon levels in the body. In doing this, it also causes the stomach to slow down gastric emptying, stimulating a fuller feeling and ultimately helps you to lose weight.

Frequently Asked Question's
Weight loss injections are a series of jabs injected into your stomach. They often contain Semaglutide or Liraglutide. The injections work by mimicking the hormone which suppresses your appetite. This helps to reduce and regulate your hunger to ensure you consume less calories. These ‘slimming’ injections are not a quick-fix or magical tool, however. Rather, they are intended to complement other crucial aspects of weight loss, including exercise and a healthy diet.
You can expect a gradual transformation of your body when you combine lipotropic injections with a regimented diet and exercise plan. Because body types vary, some people will lose weight faster than others, but in general, most people report losing about 2 to 4 pounds per week.
Some of the most effective prescription injectable weight loss medications available include: Mounjaro, Ozempic and Wegovy - these are diabetes drugs originally and now used to treat obesity. Although these injectable drugs can help users lose weight there are some dangers and caveats!
Inject your dose under the skin (this is called subcutaneous injection) in your stomach area (abdomen), upper leg (thigh), or upper arm as instructed by your health care provider. Do not inject into a vein or muscle. Please see Instructions for Use on the box for more information.
